Yesterday Jerry successfully completed his PhD defense. The first picture is Jerry's advisor signing the paperwork certifying his completion after his talk.
Today we gathered in the back patio of Taffy's pizza to have a commencement ceremony. The official proceedings comprised of Krissie, Claire, and Rachel playing "Pomp and Circumstance" and Mike hooding Jerry and presenting him with his diploma. Congratulations Jerry. You did it.
It was a good moment in history. Yeah, Jerry! Even though it means you're leaving Santa Barbara, I'm still happy for you. All of you, since I think this was a family accomplishment. I was honored to participate, and my services will be available in another four years when Levi graduates from kindergarten.
