10 Month Update: At 10 months, baby Gwen is becoming a more interactive member of our family. She is good at emptying boxes of toys and throwing food on the ground. When Levi jumps with her on the bed, she laughs so hard, she snorts. She gets excited whenever she hears the video chat ringing. I would call her mobile, although she isn't technically crawling, much to her chagrin. She has 7 teeth poking through. She stayed with a friend today for 30 whole minutes without crying. I'd call that progress.
30 minutes, huh? Definitely showing up her big brother. Also, she is so freakin' cute I don't have words for it. I want to chat you right now just so I can know I made that little face excited. But I won't. Cuz not everyone keeps newborn hours.
ReplyDeleteMesmerizing eyes! I'm totally captivated!

ReplyDeletegood job Gwen 30 whole minutes. I'll take you even if you cry the whole time.
ReplyDeletethat is such a great photo! Oh how I wish she liked me...waaahhhh.... ;)
ReplyDeleteHow did you end up with kids who can open their eyes for pictures?
ReplyDeleteIt's genetic. The unwillingness-to-smile gene (especially for strangers) is closely linked to the gene that induces the open-eyes-in-pictures behavior, the latter known colloquially as the DIHL(deer in headlights)gene. One celebrity helping to raise awareness of this particular genetic abnormality is basketball player Tim Duncan, veteran power forward of the San Antonio Spurs, who often stares wide-eyed at NBA referees after every whistle. I'm not sure why the whistle provokes "the look" but maybe it is similar to a camera flash. See links for more detail.
